Making a purchase could not be easier. Just click on any
items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping
cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Buy
Now" button and you will be asked for a few details
that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from
North America or anywhere else, place your order and your
credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars
or your own currency.
We accept Visa and Mastercard. You may send your credit
card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the
Internet. You may also choose to post the details of your
order and pay by cheque. Your goods will then be sent on
receipt of payment.
Postage is charged at £4.95 per order or free for orders over £150.00
Orders are often dispatched next day, but please allow 14
days for delivery.
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when
the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only
decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held
in clear text on any web site.
We guarantee a full refund for any goods damaged in delivery.

We aim to dispatch goods within 24 hours. Sould you wish
to cancel your order, please ring or e-mail. Cancellations
cannot be accepted after postage. Cancellation prior to
postage will incur a £3.00 cancellation fee (to cover
administration costs), and the balance will be credited
to your Credit Card.

Shortages & Damaged Goods
All orders should be checked immediately upon receipt.
Shortages or damaged items must be reported with 24 hours.
Returns
Items being returned for credit must be received within
5 days of purchase, accompanied by the relevant invoice.
Electrical Units
Electrical units cannot be returned for credit if they
have been fitted.
Returned Parts
Parts returned for credit must be in resalable condition
and in their original packaging. Items fitted cannot be
refunded if correctly supplied.
Surcharges
Surcharges must be paid on purchase of all exchange units.
The surcharge will then be credited when the old unit has
been returned and has passed through our returns department.
Exchange units
Exchange units cannot be refunded if Gti-Bits consider
the part to be in unserviceable condition.
Price Alterations
Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the information
contained on this Website and in our catalogues is correct
at the time of writing, product improvements or price alterations
may occur during the life span of the website or catalogue.
Quality
Occasionally we may substitute with a different quality
but this is rare and you will be notified and refunded any
moneys owing to you.
Every order placed in the on-line shop will generate a
confirmation with an unique identifying number which is
automatically emailed to you, which you can retain or print
out for future reference should you need to contact us.
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that we do not create
a demand which cannot be met, but where this is unavoidable
our procedure is as follows:
If an on-line order is placed, and the part or parts requested
are not in stock, we will contact the purchaser by the agreed
method on the original order form (phone or email) to advise
that the item is not in stock, we will then advise a date
when we expect to receive that part either from another
of our branches or a supplier. The customer will be offered
the opportunity to either cancel the order, or continue
with it. We will not charge any credit or debit card until
the parts arrive at our warehouse for onward dispatch to
the purchaser, unless the purchaser requests otherwise.
In the case of any unforeseen problem, we will contact the
customer by his/her preferred contact method. If the order
cannot be fulfilled within the agreed timescale then we
will contact the customer and give them an opportunity to
cancel.
We will process you order the same working day whenever
possible. Orders placed at Weekends/ Bank Holidays will
be processed the next working day. Orders placed before
4.00PM on a working day will be dispatched by carrier the
same day for delivery the next working day. Delivery will
be via one of our approved carriers Target or Parcelforce.
Please note that deliveries are made during normal business
hours, if you are not at home the carriers will not leave
your parcel due to the risk of theft, unless special arrangements
are made.
Our policy is to attempt to avoid complaints, disputes
and mistakes where ever possible, but behind the website
there are people involved, and sometimes things can go wrong
due to human error; or some circumstance beyond our control,
such as 'force majeure' ,We cannot be responsible for non
delivery or damage to goods caused by circumstances beyond
our reasonable control such as Terrorism, Acts of God, War
or Civil Uprisings, Floods, Riots, Drought, Fire, Strikes
or other such circumstances that are beyond our control
The validity, construction and performance of any contract
to which these conditions apply shall be governed by English
Law
Nothing contained in this page, or any other page in www.gti-bits.co.uk
concerning Terms & Conditions affects your rights under
Consumer Law.
Your statutory rights are not affected
The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations
2000 require that we (unless the Law permits otherwise)
give you the opportunity to cancel your order without giving
a reason, the cancellation period in the case of contracts
for the supply of goods begins with the day on which the
contract is concluded. The cancellation period ends on the
expiry of 7 working days, beginning on the day after the
day that you (the consumer) receive the goods. Please refer
to www.dti.gov.uk/ccp/topics1/ecomm.htm for further details.
You may cancel your order for any reason by emailing to
info@gti-bits.co.uk or phoning 07969670827 - 01443 474 840 (9.00 to
5.30 weekdays, at standard rate). We will request that you
return and pay for the cost of returning the goods to us
if they are returned to us during the cooling off period
if the goods are not required. We will refund you the cost
of the goods returned and any initial carriage charge within
30 days of your cancellation. You must supply your name,
address and invoice number, plus the reason for return when
returning any goods.
In the unlikely event that goods turn out to be faulty
or different from those ordered, you must notify us immediately.
The goods should be returned to us as soon as possible for
a refund. If the goods are faulty, or not as ordered, we
will make a refund within 30 days of receiving the goods
from you. When returning faulty goods you must advise the
nature of the fault, your name, address and the original
invoice number.
Mistakes in Bills, receipts or payments
We will correct any mistakes in bills, receipts or payments
as soon as possible, and at the very latest within 30 days
of agreeing to do so.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Switch, Solo and American
Express cards. We are UNABLE to accept Electron cards via
the webshop or over the telephone.
We sell parts that are generally known as Replacement parts.
These can be:
Manufactured by or on behalf of the Car maker (common term
"Genuine") and carry the Car maker’s logo.
Manufactured by a Supplier that supplies the Car Maker (common
term "Original" or "OE"). These parts
carry the Manufacturer’s Logo. Examples being Bosch,
Purflux or Hella.
Manufactured by a Supplier who does not supply the Car Maker.
These parts will be sourced from legitimate quality suppliers.
We are often asked about Surcharges. A surcharge is an
amount of money that we charge you on certain items when
that part is a reconditioned unit, and we require the old
unit back for reconditioning.
The on-line shop will automatically add the surcharge to
your shopping basket when you add a surchargable item to
the shopping basket.
You should be aware that the following items are subject
to a surcharge:
Dynamos
Engines
Driveshafts
Brake Calipers
Starter motors
Alternators
HP Pumps
Pinion valves
PAS Pumps
Flow Valves
Rear Suspension Arms (Citroen)
Cylinder Heads
ECU Units
Diesel Injectors
When we receive your old unit back, the surcharge amount
will be refunded to you as soon as the old unit has passed
through our Returns Department. The only exceptions to this
rule are in instances when your old unit is completely unserviceable
due to for example damage to a casing, missing parts etc.
In that instance we reserve the right not to refund the
surcharge. Be assured that in the vast majority of cases
the old unit surcharge is refunded.
